About Janet

I'm a Surface Designer, Color Specialist, and Muralist with over five years of experience crafting material-driven designs for textiles, home decor, and commercial products. I hold a BFA in Art with a concentration in Textiles and Surface Design, and a minor in Architecture from Kennesaw State University which gives me a background that informs my multidisciplinary approach to both aesthetics and function.

My practice merges traditional craftsmanship with digital fluency, using tools like AVA, NedGraphics, and AI-assisted design workflows. Whether I’m developing a surface pattern, harmonizing a color story, or painting a large-scale mural, my goal is always the same: to translate emotion into visual form creating work that speaks through texture, rhythm, and color.

One of my most meaningful projects was independently designing and managing the construction of a residential home in Lusaka, Zambia. This experience deepened my sensitivity to material storytelling, spatial harmony, and the dialogue between design and daily life.

I specialize in:

Surface Pattern & Material Design (Textiles, LVT, Decor)

Color Harmonization & Trend Forecasting

Mural Painting & Environmental Storytelling

AI-Assisted Design Tools

Product Visualization & Spatial Design (SketchUp, Enscape)

I’m passionate about crafting tactile narratives from walls to woven fibers, and collaborating with teams who value the emotional power of surfaces and the art of design with intention.
